- ➤ The Berkeley County School District hosted an Olympic-style event for students with disabilities where roughly 1,200 to 1,500 students from (20) schools took part in activities like running through obstacles, playing hula hoops and tossing bean bags. - ➤ Jimmy Franklin King, Jr., 35 of Charleston was sentenced to 115 months in federal prison for illegally owning seven firearms—some unregistered ghost guns—after agents searched his North Charleston home and found 3D printed conversion parts. ABC 4 News
- ➤ North Charleston detectives searched for 44-year-old Marchette Chandler, a vulnerable adult last seen on February 26th on Dorchester Road near the Maxway and the old DSS building. My TV Charleston
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The S.C. Forestry Commission has issued a statewide ban on all outdoor burning—no yard debris, campfires, or bonfires are allowed because rising wildfire risk is making fires worse in Horry County. Officials will reassess conditions on Sunday to decide if the ban stays in place as crews work to control active flames. ABC 4 News

- ➤ Construction began Friday on a new roundabout in front of Johns Island Elementary School at the intersection of River and Brownswood Road, which caused periodic lane and shoulder closures on River Road. Officials advised drivers to use caution while passing through the area. Count On 2
