- ➤ Hyundai Motor Group opened its Metaplant America on March 26 near Savannah with a $12.6B investment to build Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles, and S.C. - ➤ North Charleston is planning its first skate park to replace the J.V. Morris Playground — Mayor Reggie Burgess confirmed Monday after the council approved funding. - ➤ The City of Charleston began closing roads for Phase IV of the Low Battery Seawall Repair Project, affecting Murray Boulevard from King Street to South Battery Street for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists.
