- ➤ Charleston Animal Society faces kennel overcrowding as over 40 adoptable dogs wait while about 20 more fill the shelter—staff urge local residents to adopt, foster, or volunteer with adoption fees waived to help the animals find homes. ABC 4 News

- ➤ Charleston County reviewed an alternative bike and pedestrian option for Segment A of the Main Road Corridor Project that links West Ashley to Johns Island by crossing the Stono River. Project leaders presented four proposals at a meeting at county headquarters in North Charleston yesterday—reporting the preferred plan is more cost effective than a standalone pedestrian bridge. - ➤ Firefighters from Station 12 in West Ashley were moved to Station 11 on Savannah Highway on April 2 because of reports of possible mold, after the station had tested positive in late December and been reoccupied in mid-February while test results are still pending. My TV Charleston
- ➤ A winning Powerball ticket with a $100,000 prize was sold at a Circle K on Folly Road for the April 2 drawing – it remains unclaimed, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.
