- ➤ State officials argued against a reduced sentence for a woman jailed—over the Folly Beach bride death—saying that harsher punishment is needed. Live 5 News
- ➤ SLED confirmed a Berkeley County Sheriff's deputy fired his weapon during a traffic stop on Tuesday evening near Clements Ferry Road when a 17-year-old armed teenager from Wando exited his vehicle and fled—he was chased, shot and taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. - ➤ Javon Lamar Murray pleaded guilty to murdering Ruhjanae “Tallie” Gibbs in rural Charleston County on Aug. 8, 2019—he shot her six times while she was in her father's truck and later dragged her body to a marsh. The Post and Courier
- ➤ A 50-year-old Summerville man named Kristoffer Wilson died at Trident Medical Center on Thursday after a road rage dispute on Ingleside Drive and Zeppelin Drive when Elliott Antoin Huggins shot him following a coffee cup altercation—he now faces murder and weapon possession charges.
