- ➤ Sullivan’s Island police arrested hit-and-run suspect Justin Collin Adams at 5:57 p.m. on May 1 after his car injured three people near Sunrise Presbyterian Church—authorities said he will appear in bond court today while residents felt a sense of relief following an extensive manhunt. - ➤ South Carolina Treasurer Curtis Loftis stays in office as the House does not vote on the Senate resolution to remove him over an $1.8 billion accounting error—leaving the issue open until lawmakers return in 2026.
