- ➤ After 18-year-old Jaiden Anderson was arrested on April 29 for carrying a loaded gun at Philip Simmons High School, the Berkeley County School District started a pilot of random mobile weapons screening to catch any other weapons on campus—officials say the program may expand to other schools if it works.
