  • Fourthline Capital acquired 200 Meeting Street, a Class A office and retail building in downtown Charleston featuring over 145,000 square feet of space and a four-story parking garage with more than 350 spaces. CRIME NEWS

  • Almost a decade after being charged with his wife's murder, Summerville jeweler Michael Colucci returned to court on May 28 for a retrial as 12 jurors were seated in Berkeley County, and his defense alleged that the state withheld crucial evidence — claims that suggest she planned to end her life — with a motion to dismiss scheduled for the following Tuesday.  ABC 4 News
  • Summerville Police officers fatally shot 61-year-old Patrick David Hatcher at his mobile home in Summerville Mobile Home Park during a welfare check at 8 p.m.—he was pronounced dead at 9:18 p.m.—according to the Dorchester County Coroner's Office.  Count On 2

  • Charleston officials said that the Palmetto Commerce Interchange project is ahead of schedule with progress speeding up work to improve traffic flow—more updates will follow as construction continues.  Live 5 News

  • Splash into Safety, a summer drowning prevention program, began on June 16 at Colleton County Parks & Recreation in Walterboro—using a mobile pool to teach children critical swim skills and offering CPR training for parents as part of efforts led by the Summerville Family YMCA in rural Dorchester and Colleton counties.  ABC 4 News
