  • On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, Mother Emanuel AME Church held a service to honor the victims and survivors of the 2015 shooting that killed nine church members — hundreds of attendees shared memories and called for unity and strength in the face of hate.  My TV Charleston
  • South Carolina will host its largest dog and cat adoption event when Petco Love Pick Me! runs from June 20 to June 29, aiming to find homes for 2,500 pets at most Petco pet care centers. Organized by the Charleston Animal Society and powered by Petco Love, the event offers free or affordable adoptions and pre-adoption care such as spay-neuter surgery and vaccinations — giving local families a simple way to welcome a new pet.  My TV Charleston

  • Charleston Fire Department began its 24-hour watch early this morning at the Sofa Super Store fire site to honor the nine firefighters lost on June 18th, 2007. A ceremony will be held this evening at the Charleston 9 Memorial Park with limited seating for families and fire service members — those unable to attend can watch a livestream online.  Count On 2
  • Today, the Charleston Fire Department will mark 18 years since the Sofa Super Store fire that took nine firefighters' lives.
