GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • At Tuesday night’s meeting, Charleston City Council approved a new contract with Charleston Animal Society for shelter services costing $991,518 in 2025 for care of over 10,000 animals yearly—if animal care costs exceed the contract, the city will cover the extra expense.  Charleston City Paper
