ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On July 18th, a Breeze Airways flight diverted to Charleston International Airport after thunderstorms forced a change and, while parked for fuel before continuing to Norfolk, had its tail clipped by an All Nippon Airways Boeing 787-10 taxiing+ causing minor injuries and prompting a replacement flight to depart at 1:20 a.m.  The Post and Courier

CRIME NEWS

  • Police in North Charleston investigated a Saturday night shooting on Azalea Drive at about 8:12 p.m.—one person was injured and taken to a nearby hospital while no suspects have been identified.  Count On 2

ECONOMY NEWS

  • South Carolina farmers are expanding agritourism by inviting visitors to enjoy farm tours, petting zoos, and seasonal festivals—activities that now generate about $15 million a year across the state.   • Rep. Ro Khanna held a town hall in Goose Creek this past weekend during his 'benefits over billionaires' tour to urge voters ahead of the 2026 midterms and warned that Medicaid cuts could affect over a million residents. He held additional meetings in Berkeley County and is set to join an NAACP meeting in Columbia later today—moves aimed at fighting smartly—in red-leaning territory.  Count On 2
