- ➤ A rear-end collision in Moncks Corner on Aug. 24 left one person dead—police are investigating the crash. Live 5 News
- ➤ A deadly crash on I-26 closed part of the highway today—Charleston Police reported that emergency crews responded and are investigating the incident. Live 5 News
- ➤ A crash in Moncks Corner left one person dead and another injured Saturday at 10 p.m. when a driver in a 2012 Mercedes SUV evading police struck a stationary 2003 Infiniti near the intersection of U.S. 17 Alternate and SC 6 as authorities investigate the incident. Count On 2

- ➤ One person died when a driver fleeing law enforcement struck a stopped Infiniti SUV at a traffic light in Moncks Corner Saturday night—officials reported that the Mercedes SUV driver was not injured and SCHP is investigating the collision. ABC 4 News
- ➤ Police arrested two suspects—wanted for theft in Colleton and Beaufort counties—after a chase. Live 5 News

- ➤ Record-breaking rainfall fell on Charleston on Aug. 22 and 23, causing flash floods that closed many roads and damaged vehicles and buildings. The National Weather Service warned that heavy rains along with high tides and wet ground could worsen drainage during the rest of hurricane season—prompting residents to remain cautious.
